My story
I started working as a journalist at The Mercury in Hobart before moving to Britain to pursue my love of newspaper reporting. I worked on five papers in England and Scotland over six years.
I covered politics, business, oil and gas, health - and the odd nasty crime - before moving back to Australia and settling in Melbourne.

Moving out of journalism, I jumped into public relations, communicating the Victorian Government’s construction, transport and justice agendas.

I am a communications Jack-of-all-trades. I really love a good story.
And I am a passionate writer who believes that less is more.
I have experience writing about the following sectors:

-
Transport
-
Construction
-
Justice
-
Oil and gas
-
Finance
-
Gaming
-
Health
My approach
You can expect that we will talk and I will ask a lot of questions.
To get your message right, I need to understand what you do and what you are trying to achieve.

Together, we will work out who your audience is and what makes your message different.

Then we can work out the best communications approach.

Get in touch so we can start talking.

And the name?
I often get asked where the name Frego comes from.

Frego is a mash-up of my children's names.

Freya and Gordon are the reason I set up as a freelancer. Running my own business gives me more flexibility.
